Best Drinks in Whistler Village to Salute the Summer
You may expect to find nightclubs, pubs, and bars when you search “best drinks in Whistler” online before a presumed evening out on the town (village). You may expect the same vocal results when grabbing the ear of a passing-by local to inquire about the same. While the village indeed is home to some of the best watering holes in our corner of the hemisphere many are surprised to hear that the best beverages for a warm summer’s eve (or afternoon for that matter) are served from behind the bar of our upscale dining establishment. The candidates? The handcrafted margaritas at The Mexican Corner Restaurant.
Forget everything you thought you knew about this quintessential Mexican cocktail before your table orders its first round at our Whistler Village eatery. The Slurpee-esque concoctions commonly served at certain franchises have their place on the “night out for drinks” landscape but they don’t speak to what a margarita truly is. You may not recognize the variations detailed on our beverage menu and to be honest that mystery is a big part of what gets guests so excited. Before you stop by and whet your whistle we thought we’d highlight some of the favorites that have garnered us the distinction for serving “the best margaritas in town” by the Huffington Post Travel Canada edition.
Best Cocktails in Whistler Village – The Mexican Corner’s Margaritas
Classic Handcrafted Margaritas – You can’t go wrong with the classics. The Clasica (served over ice with fresh squeezed lime juice) and Fresca (frozen blend w/fresh strawberries and lime juice) may not end up on any Instagram feeds but when it comes to taste there is nothing traditional about them. Step it up a notch by trying our mango infused take on a classic margarita as well.
Handcrafted Signature Margaritas – One of our most famous beverage orders is our Tamarindo, which offers the perfect fusion of a classic Mexican margarita with the deliciously tangy exotic fruit of South Asia origin – the tamarind. Our Cilantro is one of our most unique drinks, bringing a delightful herbaceous flavor that you may not expect, but will applaud upon first sip. Also giving hints from the garden is our Verde, which is served over ice using fresh cucumber to tempt your imbiber’s palate. The Sandia is the most refreshing of our summer fun signature margaritas, with watermelon serving as the catalyst to stimulate your senses, and taste buds. Sophisticated souls enjoy the ride when ordering the Cadillac which is a concoction of Cuervo 1800 and Grand Marnier on the rocks with fresh lime. Finally, if you’re looking to kick-start your end-of-summer campaign with a kick the aptly named Habanero does the job just fine.
Head on over to The Mexican Corner Restaurant for a few margaritas to honor the season of summer as it concludes, tipping its sombrero to the arrival of autumn only a few weeks away. For a gander at all other beverages on tap at our restaurant in Whistler Village please visit our beverage menu here.
